Praeludium is my attempt to introduce new audiences to this wonderfully charming music performed on my favorite instruments: the mandolin and baroque mandolino."

I got my copy at the CMSA 2011 Convention. Amazing mixture of an American performer who studied in Great Britain + a German type bowlback made by a Canadian builder + a fine selection of pieces and wonderful playing. A must have CD.

I love the CD as well, and have been listening to it regularly since I got it. I must admit that I wasn't that into classical mandolin playing prior to meeting Chris, but his playing, as well as his new CD, really turned me on to it. Highly recommended

I downloaded Praeludium yesterday after reading about it here and have had a chance to listen to it several times. The performances are excellent and the timbres of Chris's two mandolins are very interesting. He picked some great pieces for this recording, most of which I had never heard. I highly recommend checking this recording out.

This is a wonderful CD. Chris's enthusiasm for the mandolin and its repertoire is contagious. And his recordings are not just technically perfect, they are infused with musicality, dynamics, and excitement. Chris is teaching me how to really love the mandolin and its rich history through his recordings and teaching.
