Fort Collins, Colo. — During the month of October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Colorado Case Company will offer its product line of case covers in pink and donate 50% of their sales to fund national breast cancer research, prevention and treatment through the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Any Colorado Case Company branded soft case, case cover or lightweight rigid case ordered in pink qualifies during the month qualifies.

Colorado Case Company specializes in building custom instrument cases for its clients, so creating a tailor-made line of pink cases is a natural fit for the company.

With the exception of non-melanoma skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. "It's a cause we all know about," explains Colorado Case Company president Steve Simmons. "And, everybody knows the pink associated with breast cancer fund-raising."

In addition to generating money for breast cancer awareness, Colorado Case Company patrons who take part in the promotion will be showing their support for the cause every time they tote their instruments. "They'll not only be making a statement with friends and family," says Simmons, "But because most of our customers are professional musicians, they'll be making a statement with fans as well."

"It's unique," adds Simmons, noting that every case ordered will also feature an embroidered pink ribbon. "People won't miss a pink guitar case going down the street!

"In addition to pink cases, this year we will embroider a pink ribbon on any Colorado Case Company, Cavallaro or Small Dog brand soft case or case cover at no cost! Just tell us you want a pink ribbon on your order and we will make it happen."

Colorado Case Company is an internationally known, locally owned business. Since 1993, the company has crafted professional grade products — soft, hard, rigid and flight cases, gig bags and case covers — for all types of musical instruments in its Fort Collins, Colo., facility. Colorado Case Company products are used and recognized by professional musicians around the world for their superior workmanship and design, which protect instruments from wear, tear and extreme weather. The company also manufactures under the brand names Cavallaro, Small Dog and Case Logic.

... I suggest anyone doing anything that sends money to the Susan G. Komen foundation do their research first.
What you find may not bother you, but I refuse to purchase products that share with this organization.

Hi Bill, I'm sorry you won't do business with us because of our decision to support the Susan G Komen Foundation. When we started this program in 2009 we did research all of the possible recipients. As with all charities, we found some that were great, some not so great and others trying to improve towards greatness. We made an informed decision to go with Susan G. Komen and hope that you and other oponents of Susan G. Komen will not lose sight of the patients and familys that are affected by this disease.

Unnecessary to insult me in public in order to make your point.

I fail to see how that was an insult. It was not intended as such. I apologize if I offended you in any way.
