San Rafael, Calif. — Acoustic Disc is celebrating Bill Monroe's 100th birthday with a new digital release of music honoring the Father of Bluegrass Music: Dawg Plays Big Mon - Happy Birthday Bill Monroe.

On the collection of previously recorded tracks including some not previously released, Grisman is joined by a host of acoustic music legends including Red Allen, Darol Anger, Warren Blair, Ray Brown, Jimmy Buchanan, Jethro Burns, Enrique Coria, Joe Craven, Vassar Clements, Jerry Douglas, Matt Eakle, Jerry Garcia, Mike Garris, Matt Glaser, Jon Glik, Samson Grisman, John Hartford, John Kahn, Jim Kerwin, Keith Little, Shelley Manne, Chad Manning, Mike Marshall, Del McCoury, Rob McCoury, Ronnie McCoury, Tiny Moore, Jim Nunally, Herb Pedersen, Tony Rice, Ralph Rinzler, Artie & Harriet Rose, Peter Rowan, Mike Seeger, Eldon Shamblin, Rob Wasserman and Doc Watson.

In addition to the music, a previously unreleased 1965 Ralph Rinzler interview with Bill Monroe (recorded by David Grisman) rounds out this outstanding collection.
