London, UK — Alison Stephens, an exceptional musician and inspirational educator, lost her fight against cancer on October 10, 2010. Although an internationally recognized freelance performer and recording artist very much in demand, Alison always found the time to mentor and support her students at Trinity College of Music, where she herself studied.
To celebrate her life, a memorial concert will be held March 11, 2011, at the Old Royal Naval College Chapel, Greenwich. Concert time is 7:30 p.m. Ticket price is 10£.
Past pupils and colleagues will perform a range of repertoire for the mandolin and guitar, often accompanied by Trinity Laban String Ensemble. The audience is invited to a wine reception in the Peacock Room at Trinity after the concert.
Concert performers include Chris Acquavella, Travis Finch, Craig Ogden, Lauren Scott and the Trinity Laban String Ensemble.
