DIY Bluegrass Web Site

DIY Bluegrass Web Site

Ozawkie, Kans. — DIY Bluegrass Biz is a new web site designed to empower independent bluegrass musicians.

The site was conceived by Bob Faris, a career music professional with real world experience in the music business including extended tours with major Nashville touring acts, experience as a band manager, instructor, clinician and writer.

A major portion of that career included many years mentoring the Faris Family Bluegrass Band. Now disbanded, its family members are dispersed among influential groups such as Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder and Special Consensus.

The goal of DIY Bluegrass is to be a central repository that specializes in 'do-it-yourself' (DIY) strategies for the indie bluegrass & acoustic musicians or band.

The site is filled with articles, tutorials and information relevant to the bluegrass and independent musician looking to move beyond amateur status and into the real world of making a living as a music professional.
