Jimmy Gaudreau & Orrin Star

Jimmy Gaudreau & Orrin Star

Mandolin icon Jimmy Gaudreau and famous flatpicker/funnyman Orrin Star, both based in the Washington DC area, have joined forces in a hot new duo, and their second tour together will be bringing them to North Carolina and southern Virginia during the first week in March.

Gaudreau is a household name in bluegrass, having performed with a veritable Who's Who of the genre; Star is a former National Flatpicking Champion once described as 'Arlo Guthrie-meets-Doc Watson. Together they offer great picking, sweet singing, dry humor, and a repertoire ranging from original instrumentals to bluegrass standards, little-known folk gems to choice mandolin duets.
