Collings MT2 Mandola
Austin, Tx. — Collings Guitars and Mandolins has announced the creation of their new MT2 Mandola which will be on display at this week's NAMM show in Anaheim, California, January 14 - 17, 2010.
The MT2 Mandola adds to their existing line of acoustic A and F model mandolins.
Specifications:
Select Adirondack spruce top
Premium maple back, sides and neck
Full high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish
Grained ivoroid binding on body, neck and peghead
Black/white purflings (top/back/side)
15.9" Scale Length
22-fret radiused ebony fingerboard
Adjustable truss rod
Tone bar bracing
Collings adjustable ebony bridge
Mother-of-pearl Collings logo
Pearl dot fingerboard inlays
Ebony peghead overlay
Flourish peghead inlay
Bone nut
Collings original one-piece tailpiece
Nickel or gold tuners
Suggested retail is $4,000 including hardshell case.
Future plans include adding oval hole and satin versions later in 2010, with the possibility of an F version.
