Owensboro, Ky. — The International Bluegrass Music Museum (IBMM) has announced a number of incentives for individuals and professional groups interested in purchasing a museum membership, a critical part of IBMM's ability to do business.

IBMM is the only museum in the world dedicated to preserving the international history of bluegrass music. They strive to provide dynamic arts leadership in the community, region and state while gathering, cataloging, preserving, exhibiting and presenting the history of bluegrass music around the globe.

Members joining now will receive a copy of the book Bluegrass Time by Phil Zimmerman. Retail price $24.95 (while supplies last).

A membership is vital to our securing match funding for grants that allows us to present the following programs.

Video Oral History Project (VOHP) - Professional videotaping the history of Bluegrass Music's 1st and early 2nd Generations, preserving their personalities, stories and musical styles for all time.

ROMP, The River of Music Party - Our annual museum style festival celebrates all things bluegrass, especially the legends of bluegrass themselves! Concerts by Pioneers and international acts, The Legends Concert, new exhibits, world premieres of VOHP films, educational forums, workshops, tours, square dancing and more. Membership includes half price ROMP tickets, and meet and greet with the Pioneers of Bluegrass and the Blue Grass Boys at their upcoming Reunion during ROMP.

RBI: Radio Bluegrass International - Our 24/7 streaming internet radio station presents one of-a-kind recordings heard only on this museum's station, as well as other popular programs presented regularly for our worldwide audience

Archive & Library Project - We are raising money to purchase equipment needed to create DVDs and CDs of everything in your museum. This will enable us to create an on-site and on-line research library for our members.

Bluegrass in the Schools & Saturday Lessons Program - We present all-school bluegrass music assemblies to many thousands of Kentucky students per year, plus hands-on instrument training to many thousands of students and adults with instruments on free loan, bi-weekly music lessons, jams, and opportunities for performance.

Monroe-Style Mandolin Camps - Dedicated to teaching and preserving the unique mandolin style of Bill Monroe, held annually in September. Sign up for 3 days of intense instruction by the foremost ambassadors of his mandolin style. Camps also feature a Faculty Concert.
