Brazilian musical legend Hermeto Pascoal
Oakland, Calif. — Sponsors of California's long running Brazil Music Camp have announced plans to host a special week-long musical experience in Ubatuba, Brazil in 2010 featuring American mandolinist and violinist Ted Falcon leading choro workshops, and special master classes led by Brazilian musical legend Hermeto Pascoal.
Classes are offered in Brazilian Jazz, Chorinho Music, Cuban Drumming, and Candomble Drumming. Master teachers include: Mestre Jorge Alabe, Leo Leobons, Mestre Ney do Oxossi, Michael Spiro, Alessandro Penezzi, Ted Falcon, Jovino Santos Neto and Hermeto Pascoal.
The intensive course includes 90-minute classes twice daily, jam sessions at night, a special concert during the week, lodging, three meals daily, transportation to and from the São Paulo airport, and a half day Ubatuba trip to one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Brazil. Capoeira and Yoga classes will also be offered to music students.
Cost is $1995, or $1795 if paid by December 15, 2009 (airfare not included).
Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Save $200 if you enroll by December 15!
