Fort Collins, Colo. — During the month of October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Colorado Case Company will offer its full product line in pink and donate 25 percent of sales to fund national breast cancer research, prevention and treatment.
Colorado Case Company specializes in building custom instrument cases for its clients, so creating a tailor-made line of pink cases is a natural fit for the company.
With the exception of non-melanoma skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. "It's a cause we all know about," explains Colorado Case Company president Steve Simmons. "And, everybody knows the pink associated with breast cancer fund-raising."
In addition to generating money for breast cancer awareness, Colorado Case Company patrons who take part in the promotion will be showing their support for the cause every time they tote their instruments. "They'll not only be making a statement with friends and family," says Simmons, "But because most of our customers are professional musicians, they'll be making a statement with fans as well."
"It's unique," adds Simmons, noting that every case ordered will also feature an embroidered pink ribbon. "People won't miss a pink guitar case going down the street!"
