Paul J. Schiminger named IBMA Executive DirectorThe International Bluegrass Music Association's Board of Directors announced that Paul J. Schiminger has been selected as the organization's Executive Director. Schiminger's expected start date is June 1, and he will be based at the IBMA's office in Nashville, Tennessee.

International Bluegrass Music Museum Names Interim DirectorThe International Bluegrass Music Museum of Owensboro has announced Gabrielle M. Gray, the museum's chief executive will end her 12-year tenure as the museum's creative leader and retires as executive director. Gray retains her position as Executive Producer of ROMP, the signature bluegrass music festival she founded in 2004. Gray also remains the museum's primary grant writer.

Ricky Skaggs Named Country Music Hall of Fame Artist-In-ResidenceIt was announced last Saturday evening, from the stage of the Ryman Auditorium, that Ricky Skaggs will be the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's 2013 Artist-in-Residence. Skaggs will present two intimate evening performances on November 18 and 19, at 7:00 p.m. The concerts will be the museum's first public programs in the new CMA Theater.

Backyard Green Films documentary Herschel Sizemore: Mandolin in BBackyard Green Films has announced the release of a new documentary entitled Herschel Sizemore: Mandolin in B, a film surrounding the events of a benefit concert held for Sizemore and his wife February 19, 2012, as a result of them both being diagnosed with cancer on the same date in the Fall, 2011.
