Hi,
In case you're interested in yet another place to buy CDs--
I was just browsing the Smithsonian Folkways Collection which has interesting CDs available to purchase online
http://www.folkways.si.edu/index.html

One that caught my eye ( and ear --they have tracks online) was
"Si, soy llanero: Joropo Music from the Orinoco Plains of Colombia"
Grupo Cimarrón
Smithsonian Folkways Recordings - SFW40515 2004

This description got me interested in listening to some samples:
"From the plains of eastern Colombia, the joropo's syncopated drive and top-of-the-lungs singing proclaim a cattle-herding mestizo people proud of their homeland. Percussive harp techniques and fast-picking bandola guitar rise upon a bedrock rhythm of cuatro guitar, bass, and maracas to produce the signature plains sound. Grupo Cimarrón, mainstay ensemble of música llanera (plains music tradition) joins other all-star musicians in energy and virtuosity of their music."

You can browse by genre or keyword (mandolin!)or whatever. There's even classic bluegrass recordings like the Country Gentleman and Monroe and Watson, not that anyone on this board would happen to be interested in bluegrass music
