This was all done on my BOSS MICRO BR multi-track digital recorder. The only instruments are a mandolin (Kentucky KM675) and an arch top guitar (mid-50s Kay). The 'bass' is the arch top played through a modified effects patch in the MICRO BR. I think it kinda' sounds like a stand up bass fiddle.
There's a nice spot for another solo in-between the mando solos. Any takers? Any and all critiques welcome.

Sounds great FarmJazz. And it does sound kinda like a string bass, great trio-like sound. Nice arrangement as well. I want to get back into multi-tracking again, but all I had was an old Tascam Portastudio-03 (cassette) or similar. The stuff they have it now days is mind boggling!

Now is the time to jump into digital multi-track recording. I've seen these MICRO BRs on e-bay for less than a hundred bucks!
It has a stereo line/mic input, as well as a 1/4 in. for guitar/bass/keyboard, and a built in condenser mic. This was all done with the built in mic. A brief learning curve, and off you go! 32 virtual tracks, mastering tool kit, effects, rhythm patterns galore, a great tuner, mini usb out. Everything you need to produce CD quality recordings/demos. disclaimer: I don't consider this song CD quality. I wanted to get this out to a friend of mine to hear - Hello, Mrs. H! - so I whipped it together pretty fast. I've used this thing a lot and it comes through every time! Highly recommended. Thanks for the replies!
