when player appears go to window select A/V Player. on that screen you can change pitch, tempo, and play with the EQ's

I have amazing slowdowner also and it is great but just to slow down a passage to learn it I usually just use QT
I just used the A/V player on my QT for the first time to slow down Ricky Skaggs. This is an AWESOME tool! Thank you so much for opening my eyes to this feature.

I use Best Practice when I need to bracket a tough section. But for everyday running thru a tune trying to get it up to speed I use WMP10. The only reason I do is because of the track control keys* on my wireless k/b.

*Play/stop/pause/mute/FF and rewind.

You can use keyboard keys on ASD too. Plus you can do speed and pitch with keyboard keys.

Thanks for posting that tip - I tried it out this morning and was having so much fun with it that I was late for an appointment! The sound quality of the clip does degrade a bit, but it still does a grand job for slowing down tunes to learn - it'll certainly tide me over until I get around to buying ASD.

Cheers,
Jill
