Default 09' Gibson Fern

Just wanted to let everyone know...I just received my new Fern today and it is a monster ! True piercing A and E strings and great bottom on G string. I had some concerns about what I would receive but I am bowled over by the punch and great woody tone. I had a Collings MF that I really hated to part with...but wanted to upgrade. Mine was custom ordered with scalloped fret board extension and abbreviated pick guard. The neck is shaved smaller than what I expected, but I have gotten used to it already. The neck is similar to the Skaggs distressed model. First string change will be to the Bush monels.Curious to see what that will sound like.

I believe you are experiencing what they call, "The Gibson Sound".

Sounds awesome! I have high hopes for the Dave Harvey Gibsons.
