Okay, okay. I put a case sticker on the truck. D'Oh! But like you said, it will get the name out there. More people see my truck than see my mandolin case.

Yeah, I'm with you there. Sad but true for far too many of us. Somebody give this guy a gig! But I have a collection of bumper stickers because I'm afraid that as soon as I use them my vehicle will die, and I'll lose the stickers. That's what happened to one of my cherished Red Knuckles & The Trailblazers ones. I did get one comment on it, in a very faraway unexpected place, so there's that ...

Then there was this thread about calling attention to yourself with music-oriented stickers as if it were advertising to thieves. My favorite was from a guy whose band vehicle advertised a diaper service instead!

I wonder if the hat has a pick pocket - I mean, a pocket for picks, like Kangaroo sneakers used to have a pouch for keys. That would be a big help.

Yeah, that's sho nuff right. I didn't think about the truck petering out on me. Anyone who can see a sticker on my truck can also see what I have inside the truck, so it isn't like they'll rip the trunk open like they could on the car.

I've never had an instrument stolen, and "back in the day" I'd have guitars and amps and related items in an unlocked car... in the parking lot of a bar... all afternoon... and most of the night.

I've had a lot of good luck or a lot of junk.

A nice option would be a snakehead headstock.

Doesn't it already have an abbreviated brim? I always thought 'real' hats (trilby, derby, stetson) have a brim, IE.doesn't just stick out in front. On a cap it's called a bill (although that could just be an abbreviated currency or an English check)?! In England it's called a peak.

They say that playing for a few hours wearing the hat really opens it up!

Does Calton make a case for them? I travel a lot & would need something fairly bomber for mine.

Send it to Siminoff for de-damping, or get your own 'Tonerite'. That should open it up nicely, resulting in a more responsive top end.

My hat went out over the world wide web last night by way of our show at Larry's Grand Ole Garage in Madison, Tennessee, at www.sumnercities.com Could this be a first for the new hats?

Does it have rattle snake rattles inside? Or does one need to order those separately and will it void the warranty to add them?

Has anyone tried out the Hat De-Damper Device ? I hear it makes the hat ride much higher on the head. Better fit....much more fashionable. It also gives the ears quite a buzzzzzzzz....

I don't believe in these 'sort-cuts' to beak hats in like using de-dampers and such. IMO there's no substitute for just wearing them hard for long periods..

I put a rubber grommet on the size adjusting strap. It reduces unwanted harmonics. I got mine at Radio Shack.

I wore mine on stage last Friday night. The 6:00 band was running late and we jumped up there and picked up a storm, literally. I left 10 minutes after the set and had to pull off the road due to a short hail storm. Go figure. Do these hats have some magical powers that we have yet to discover?
