Pardon if this has been asked before, but has anyone restrung a short scale acoustic to create their own 5, or 6, string 'tenor guitar'? For example, could a Baby Taylor (scale length just shy of 23") be restrung CGDAE? It was also suggested in another thread to try NST of CGDAEG. Would these strings/gauges work for such a restringing?

I guess this would blend a tenor guitar and octave mandolin?
