    ..hey is there some software out there somewhere on line that is a free down load that allows one to crop, edit and resize pics....?? I got this new PC and there isnt anything installed on it to let me do these things...Thanks

    Scotti,

    I'm guessing they are too big to email? #if not send them my way and I'll see what I can do.

    I think there is a free version of Photoshop that does it as well. #You also used to be able to do it via Windows Paint....not sure if you can anymore. Check out www.picasa.com too.

    Hi Wayne...I dont have any pics on this PC yet....but I will before long...I just want to be prepared if I have to edit them..I dont have anyway of doing that right now...thanks for the info.

    For just basic editing, I've used a free program called IRFAN View. #You can get the info here.

    Is a link to lots of free editing programs .My favorite is one named Photo Filtre another is Pixia.

    Hey guys all these links are great....and I really appreciate them....but they wont let me resize pics pixially...thats what I am looking for....My Old Pc...which the ex has...had that installed on there..I grew accustomed to that....and conveniantly she doesnt have the start up disc for it...come on boys...help a a mando man out..:0)

    The Faststone image viewer is free. Does everything you want including resizing in pixels.

    Irfanview should do the trick for resizing, but if you need a full-featured yet free photo editor try The GIMP. GIMP was developed as open source freeware for Linux, but has been ported to Windows and Mac platforms. It's quite powerful on its own, and it also supports Photoshop plug-ins. It definitely has a learning curve, but did I mention that it's free?
