Are most vintage Gibson mandolin tailpieces interchangeable? Did they ever change the hole spacing from the teens to the 20's to the 50's?

Well the waverly 'Cloud' tailpieces have no end peg hole at all ..
I've had an A40 NT, and an A 50 with those tail pieces..

I was thinking more about the F style tailpieces, like this one. I'm not sure if the screw holes line up, like could you put a 60's Gibson tailpiece on a 20's mandolin?
Credit Elderly for the pic.

I'm not sure if a 50s tailpiece is the same specs as a 1920s one, but you should be able to put in on the mandolin and see if the holes line up before mounting it - can't you?
