Bluegrass / Old Time in UK Documentary
Found this, thought maybe it hadn't been posted before. Would be cool if the mando player featured was a Cafe member and would chime in. Great sounding mandolin, and wonderful playing.
I enjoyed the perspective of these folks, especially getting their take on the American aspect of the music.

One more time
Re: Bluegrass / Old Time in UK Documentary
That was fun to watch, thanks for sharing. I wish that where I lived there were more people to jam with, or for that matter anyone period. Been playing bluegrass for two years now and still havent had an opportunity to sit in on a circle. I do live walking distance from one of the biggest festivals on the West coast (huck finn) but have yet to get the nerve to drag my guitar (and now mandolin) and join in on a jam during it. Maybe next year if I cant muster up some folks nearby by then.

The mandolin player is a stalwart at Sorefingers, the residential music camp in the UK. He was second at Walnut Valley a couple of years ago and at one of S'fingers Easter weekend sessions I was lucky enough to have him as a teacher. I learnt more with him than when I came back for a full week with a name teacher. Rex Preston, a real gem to watch.
