    Default the Tone-Gard for my '23 A2Z fits in the shoe-polished case

    I got a small dog case coming too. May just need another CT55.

    Just having fun with my new mandolin. . .

    Nice A2Z! The thin double ring rosette A2Z's are my favorite of the old Gibson ovals. Gibson nailed it with this one.

    That's a beauty you got there f-d!! I love the blond (as opposed to sheraton brown) snakeheads. One question, is the bridge made of rosewood or ebony? It looks like rw in your picture. Good luck and enjoy!

    Just like a hollywood actress, you get too close and you'll see her flaws. Nothing too great though.

    Not sure about the bridge wood. It has the patent mark, I'm told it's original, but the new clones are pretty compelling. No reason not to believe the seller though. Did Gibson use both R/W and ebony?

    I'm pretty sure ebony was used for all the adjustable bridges on snakeheads. A2Z is one of the prettiest oval hole models ever made- and I love the way mine sounds. I think you'll enjoy yours... with or without the tone-guard.

    there was some post where I asked about using shoe polish on my case. Mixed comments. I did it anyhow, it worked great.

    Now I got the whole deal in a small dog cover.
