    Default Rhythm and Blues ala Otis Redding

    "These Arms Of Mine" is a favorite of mine on guitar; I call it at blues jams to break the 1-4-5 monotony. Nice melody and groove, and it moves out of the dut da dut da blues but still offers some improv space.

    Just started working on it on mandolin and it's pretty weak so far. While I try and get it down, can anyone point to recordings of other similar tunes from the likes of Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, The reverend Al Green, etc.?

    Yeah, that dude has a good voice. Most You Tube singers are pretty awful. I'm jus' sayin...
