I have the chords in D and G but was looking for the melody notes/tabs for the song. Using the pentatonic scale I was able to figure out most of the melody but still wouldn't mind seeing the musical notes/tabs for this song .

I don't have the tab for this in G. My band played it in G but I played guitar on it, not mandolin.
They do it in A. We do too. 'Most everyone does. Learn it in A, then transpose it down a step. Easy peasy.
This works for about any song. Don't get locked into any key; adjust it to your preference. Of course, that's just my advice, and I may be missing something because it seems obvious.
