    Somehow the look of grommets has a tidy and cool look.

    I have the radio shack grommets arranged in a diagonal pattern between the bridge and tailpiece as well as one on the A course up by the tuners. People comment on the looks of the grommets. And I guess I think they look cool, but I put them on trying to isolate a little buzz noise. It was up near the tuner on the A strings.

    Now I could curse the things every time I change strings. I only need one up by the tuner and when the cat steals the rest when I change strings, that's it. No more tidy and cool looking grommets for me!

    Does anyone think that a diagonal pattern responds to the harmonic qualities of the strings? Not much room to vibrate between the bridge and tailpiece...
