That's a beauty and if it plays well, a very good price. Snagging those images for Dan Beimborn's Mandolin Archive as he has a real strong interest in these. Posting them here because he's on vacation at the moment and the ad might be deleted before he gets to them. Think it's important we continue to document these old beauties on his site.
Why I couldn't agree more Scott! She is beautiful and after a mad dash last night she is residing with me. Her back is also a beautiful figured Maple. I sent an email to Dan B. as well about it. Serial# 10031 Fon# 1027, so according to Spann's a 1910 model. I'm completely crazy with happiness! I never thought I would find one!!!
Needs a little bit of restoration work, action and so on but not too bad. I will be sure to get complete pics before and after she get a tune-up for the Archive and Dan B.

Congratulations Annette. I'll admit to being a bit envious. A torch and wire three pointer is on my bucket list. That one looks like a beauty. Enjoy it.

funny.... Sort of funny....Sort of funny also
Great catch, Annette.
Well done! They are all beauties. There are some great-sounding ones from earlier with inlaid guards, but once you get to where they came with that raised pickguard.. I think the T&Ws are really hard to beat for tone too!
Congratulations Annette! It doesn't get much better than to get to be the restorer/caretaker of this vintage heavy weight. Enjoy in this life and pass it on to the next generation.

Annette, congratulations! What a beauty. Please post more pics and a sound clip when the work is done.
That is as good as it gets.
Here is a link to some quick pics I took of the T&W for our website...not great detail but will have to do for now
