    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7ZU8kX0Zns

Can anyone make out what he's playing? It's a great mandolin song but for the life of me I cant figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

Anderson generally uses fylde (?) mandolins.

Several mandolins played in this set - I think what Ian plays here (from 2:40 into the video) is probably a Fylde Lucetta.

Yes indeed. I can't quite make out the fingering, the opening verse is a Am-F-G progression I think though.

Chords are here, but you'll have to try if they are correct.

There is a quite a good complete GuitarPro tab for the song here:

    http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/j/je...guitar_pro.htm

The tab includes all of the parts including Ian's mandolin part. You have to have GuitarPro to read the file though.

By the way, I saw Ian Anderson playing Thick As A Brick 1 & 2 yesterday.... No mandolin used during his concert (which was great).

Here is an ASCII export of the mandolin part for the non-GuitarPro enabled.
