    Default Ciaw

For those who are going this year, a bunch of my group will be residing in the house next door to the Shamrock House -- the one with the porch -- and if you are wandering by and hear us noodling, here's an open invitation to come join the fun. We don't know anything really new or play at lightning speed, but if you know the old old old standards (the ones the real players don't do any more because they are bored with them) and like an easier pace, we'd probably fit the bill.

Have fun Randi. We'll be there Thursday through the weekend. Maybe we'll cross paths

Looking forward to returning to my room tune-drunk every morning

    Cheers

Avi ... Belated apology .... that was you, wasn't it, at Magrath's on Thursday? I wasn't sure and asked Iris at my Friday class. Sorry I didn't do more than salute you on the way out -- and way too fried on Saturday to do more than notice you were sitting in the back. I'll do better next year!

Hi Randi. Somehow we tend to "close" McGrath's every night/morning we are there. So, yes, I was there Thursday night. I sat briefly in the back but Iris called me up to play a tune with her and I ended sitting between her and the fiddle player from Florida (John?) for the next few hours. I got to play the Thatcher's Mallet with Caitlin nic Gabhann which was a great treat for me. I was also there for a most awesome session the next night, with Patrick Ourceau, Willie Kelley, Iris, Christy McNamara, the amazing Killackey brothers and other fine players. Sat night (Sunday morning) we got there around 3am or so and played with 3-4 people until the "last call for drinks" was announced around 5am.

By all means, next time please walk up to me and introduce yourself.

    Cheers,
    Avi
