Anyone know of a good mandolin and guitar setup person in the Charleston or Atlanta areas?

Follow my ebook on mandolin set up. Once the mandolin is set up properly you'll find setting up a guitar is a piecec of cake.

Glad you chimed in--I told TMCMackin how easy it was to do and that he should contact you. I'm now setting up my second mando using your book. The first one was my beater no-name $100 POS. It sounded like a million dollars after following your method and you are a gentleman and a scholar to make it available to us. That first success gave me courage to work on my Gibson today: filing down the nut with gritted teeth; sanding down the bridge with eyes averted in fear ... And in a few minutes I'm going to start a setup on the Saga I just built. It's a great book and a great method. I'll send measurements, as I promised, as soon as I finish.
Update: I just finished my Flatiron/Gibson, using Rob's method. Wow. What a difference. I fearlessly both cut the nut slots with needle files and sanded the bridge down. It sounds so much better. When I think that I could easily have paid $60 to 100 to do this, I'm kind of amazed. Now, on to the Saga ...

If you're interested in doing it yourself and don't have the tools you can potentially work on it at my shop in Smyrna, GA.
If you want a pro setup I'd try to talk to Matt Phillips at Atlanta Street Violins in Marietta. I think he still does this.
