[QUOTE=Ivan Kelsall;1068227]I ordered Del's CD yesterday & for good measure ordered Jason Carter's 'On The Move' CD as well. There's some terrific Fiddlin' goin on on that one

Yeah, love that album. Jason's story is amazing as well; decided to learn fiddle cause he wanted to be in Del's band someday. What was it, 4 years later ? That's determination !!

I love this album too. The only thing I find odd is that there is not even one instrumental on it (beyond the intro). I understand it's called the "Songs of Bill Monroe" and not "Songs and Tunes of Bill Monroe," but still I would've like one or two.

    It's a good one.

Ronnie is superb (as usual) and the whole thing is a world away from the mass-market targeted "mush" that so often passes for bluegrass and country these days. The real deal.

So Jason Carter wanted to be in Del's band ? - well,he made it. IMHO,Jason is one of the very finest Fiddle players in Bluegrass. If i was recording a CD ( i wish !),he'd be the Fiddle guy i'd call up to play - that guy is smooooooth !,
