    Default Two Framus at Auction...

The first is this item located in Poland:

And the next is this electric hard body located here in Dallas at Heritage Auctions:

Since I know nothing about Mandolins the first caught my attention because of the construction. I like the back. The second is at Heritage (I buy vintage watches from Heritage) and is interesting because of the hard body style.

    Thanks.

    1. Headstock joint on that first one looks a bit iffy.

    2. Second one is cool, and at the current bid of $110, a steal.

Most of the Framus instruments I've had pass through my hands reminded me of the type of construction you'd see on an old Soviet-era tractor.....despite the fact that their factory was actually in West Germany.... they went bankrupt in 1975.

Well said! Why use dainty bits of glue when good ol' nuts & bolts will keep that bridge in place for good.
