    Default 100 iconic guitar riffs

JazzMando What's New - There's no denying the impact of the electric guitar on pop music the last six decades. We don't have near the stature with our little 8-string instrument (but we're working on that here). Still, we can appreciate its allure with the following video of iconic rock guitar riffs from the Chicago Music Exchange captured in a single take. We're sure this will bring back some memories of youth.
See how many you know, and better, notice any missing?

No "Can You Here Me Knocking"? Still very impressive.

Amazing how he got all those sounds in one take. Although it's skewed a bit toward more recent history, thus leaving out some classic riffs from the golden age, definitely worth hearing. Here is my post:

Pretty wild! I don't know how you got all those sounds in a live setting, but then again, gotta love the mystery. ;-) Would have thought you'd have "Whole Lotta Love" in there, maybe "Sunshine Of Your Love," "Voodoo Child," "All Along The Watchtower," "Cold Shot" - but there are so many. Thanks for "Oh Well," BTW - people forget. Funny that you got only one female guitarist in there, right at the very end. All in all, very cool.

Couldn't help feeling some great guitarists weren't represented at all - Johnny Winter, Alvin Lee, Jeff Beck, Jorma Kaukonen - but ultimately this was made up of his choices. There's a 500 character limit, or I would have gone on a bit longer. You know me.
But that's just my opinion. I could be wrong. - Dennis Miller

Here's my comment posted to the YouTube video:

Tremendous! I got nothing but love for this. Hats off for including riffs from many very underrated guitarists, such as: Link Wray, Eddie Cochran, Dick Dale, Joe Walsh, Johnny Ramone, Vernon Reid, Mick Mars, & Tom Morello. My only disappointments are the exclusions of Muddy Waters & the great Rory Gallagher. Thanks for posting this. I love it.

...Just realized that Frank Zappa is excluded also. That's a big omission IMO.
