Default c.1925 Regal-made flatback & c.1915 Oscar Schmidt flatback mandos

The above is a nice, unmarked, but probably Regal-made all-mahogany flatback. I've seen this same or similar model with SS Stewart and L&H brands. Click here for the full blog post on it.

And here's a teens-era Oscar Schmidt build, also unlabeled. I see this with the Sovereign and Victoria names from time to time, though. Click here for that full blog post/more pics.

It's nice to be working on some mandolins for a change, lately. I've had tons of banjos and guitars through the shop, but not many mandos.

    They're bluesy enough.

On further study, I'm also pretty sure I misidentified the hog one as a Regal. I'm totally sure it's a Harmony. I don't know why I said Regal -- maybe I was sleepy. The heel shape, finish, neck style, bracing, etc. are way more Har than Reg.

Ha! Jake, I had an LG0 years ago when I was playing more guitar, and I really loved it, though not exactly sure why. I've never had a mahogany topped mandolin. One of these days…
