Here is a newly completed Fletcher Brock F5. This is a really nice mandolin, it sounds fantastic and is absolutely beautiful. I love the new reddish burst that Fletcher has been using lately.

Your problem is, you think you have enough time.
I'm not normally given to liking pearloid binding, but that ones' just sweet!
That is insanely clean.....
I stepped up on the platform, the man gave me the news;
He said: "You must be joking son, where did you get those shoes...."
"Your man doesn't sound so good!!"

good move choosing the front-facing binding on the headstock... nice!
Interesting use of what looks like wood for the faux frets where the fingerboard has been scooped.
"They're tasty, tasty, very very tasty. They're very tasty.."
Just breathtaking, as always. Someday I'd love to have one of his F5s to keep my OM company. Alas, unless I win the lottery, I don't see that happening anytime soon.
Chip, wasn't Fletch going to make you an OM sometime this year? Are you still getting one?

Lindsey, there is a big ol' batch of OMs under constuction right now, and I may be in there somewhere...![]()
Fantastic, Chip! Hope yours gets done soon. I'm starting to play mine more and more with a couple of bands here in Colorado. It's so easy to make it sound like I know what I'm doing!Hope to see you at the Targhee fest this year. Unfortunately, I had to pull out of the camp -- again -- but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for next year!
