Default 30's Kalamzoo KM11 goes for $7500 at Les Paul Auction

OK, clearly the prices reached at this auction are showing a "Les" premium, and bear no resemblance to the really low estimates, but I thought this price was very interesting. The Kalamazoo, albeit messed with by Les himself who added a pickup, going for that, with an 87 F5L master going for $2750, and a 70's F12 at $1600, and a 54 F12 at $3750.

Microphones I was hoping would go cheap quickly went over my head. So far, all I could afford was his bathrobe, which is a little creepy.

Well at least it is probably a one size fits all.

    DNA extraction & Cloning opportunity?
maybe some of the skin cells from Les's fingers are still under the strings
    and on the fingerboard.

    That's what I'm thinking.

Someone would need to clone her first. She died in 1977.

The .87 F5L went for a really low price considering it was his. The '54 F12 went a little high but it was his. Not sure why he even owned a 70's F12 unless he thought he could improve on it.

I thought so, too, on the F5L. I've no idea why the mandolins were all over the place; all the guitars and equipment we're pretty consistent.
