One of my goals for this year is to hear bebop changes better.

Kind of silly, I guess, but I just joined the forum to say I'll be at Weiser sometime Friday too. Been there many times before but this is my first time staying for more than a day. Planning on staying about 4 days. I hope to meet up with some old friends, meet a lot of other folks, learn some new songs, and have a lot of jamming fun.

I hope to come in next Monday or Tuesday on my way back from another festival. Darren, hope we get to pick some more! Are you going to be camping with Paul?

I know I'm late in planning things, but I'm planning on arriving in Weiser on Sunday. There are clearly different places to camp, but does anyone have suggestions as to where to camp for a newbie?

Things I learned at Weiser. Get bored playing oldtime. Can hang with the rest playing swing or bluegrass. Need to learn alot about Texas style fiddling and backup. Will have to order some of Pete's books.

Weiser was good for me, too...I spent lots of time at Jimmy's Trailer with Jimmy and Gene Gimble. Sweet memories...

When I see guys like Gene Gimble still playing at his age I'm happy because there may still be hope for me.
