    Default repair inquiry...

    Hi,

this is a link to another thread on this site:
    http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/sh...g-ivory-tuners

can anyine gimme a legit estimate on getting the work done on this mandolin?

    i need a 2" strip of binding,
    a small pearl dot,
and a crack repair, crack is from dry wood, not a contact wound.

    Thx.

    - e

Hi Earl: I replied on the other thread. No one will give you a legitimate estimate without having it in hand. It will just be a ballpark one and i would never hold that person to that price. it is hard to see what it going on with the insides of these instruments. Having lots of guitars, you should know all this anyway.

None of what you describe is expensive to fix but there may be other issues.

This crack in the neck is really not repaired.

Jim's right, you need to get it in the hands of a qualified person before any realistic estimate can be made.

Paul that is not a crack. That is a removable cover that hides the tuners.
