Re: Atlanta Mandolins?
I lived in Atlanta for many years. Have you tried contacting the Atlanta Mandolin Orchestra? Some of the folks I used to know in that group teach and play different styles, not just orchestral music.

Re: Atlanta Mandolins?
Bob Knysz is involved with that group & is a great player in numerous genres. He is actively involved in the Atlanta Mandolin Orchestra & plays in a Hot Club, Django style, gypsy jazz band........was in the MandoLoar Quartet too as I recall. And I know his roots are in BG.......see if you can find him! He could refer you to all things mando related in your area. I met him through the Cafe, so look for him here to start.

What kind of repair do you need, and what style of lessons are you looking for? How far from DV are you willing to travel in the ATL area? There are several folks around.

Re: Atlanta Mandolins?
I was thinking of getting my mandolin set up properly by a real mandolin tech, not just a guitar guy that thinks he can set up mandolins the same way as a guitar. General technique lessons would be what I was after, so I'm not perpetuating bad habbits. I would be willing to drive to Atlanta or maybe up to Kennesaw or Acworth possibly.
