    Ed,

    You're certainly broadening my musical horizons:o)

    Some luthier must have had a session with a bottle of poitin and came up with that yoke. That bridge looks bigger than my mandolin. I can't imagine Walton's selling one of those.

    I played as support to Dark Patrick last year in Dolgellau, Wales. Eva is a fantastic musician and also plays hurdy gurdy. Her partner does the electronic stuff and also plays whistle and harmoninca.

    I remember my surprise at hearing an instrument that looks like an overgrown mandolin but sounds like a wire-strung harp.

    ...and she's a great singer of traditional Ukrainian songs as well - a voice like a very finely-tuned foghorn.
