Gibson A 1917, 1918?
I just got a lovely A, serial number 45296, FON 11098. According to Spann's Guide, that is either late 1917 or early 1918, yes? Fixed bridge, original pickguard (I think), original case (no key, can these have a key made for them?). Receipt in the case for some repairs done in 1974 and someone printed out some basic mandolin chords in 1998 (on a dot matrix, lol).
Almost no fret wear and the pickguard is almost new looking. Really needs new strings before I can tell how it actually sounds, but so far it's a lovely old thing.
1918 Gibson A, "Lillian";
1940s (?) Kay A style f hole - currently down for a refret and fretboard re-profile, my first attempts (with guidance) at lutherie.
1981 Washburn M7SN (2 point);
2011 Eastman 504, "Belle";
2012 Lafferty mahogany octave mandolin;
2012 Emando (Saga), "Hank"
1 husband, 2 dogs, 4 chickens.
