New Allen AR-2 Tailpiece

Last night I installed a gold Allen AR-2 Tailpiece on my J.Bovier F5 Dorado. I like the non-traditional look of the AR-2. It was a painless swap. All the screws and the endpin lined up with the existing holes from the stock JB stamped tailpiece. I installed a new set of GHS Silk and Bronze stings, and set the intanation. She sings!

Next is a Cumberland Acoustics bridge. Steve shipped one out last week, but I don't think I am going to attempt to fit it myself. I'm good if it's take screw out and put screw in, but that's where it stops for now. She's got an appointment with Rod West at the Acoustic Music Shop in Edmonton, AB the second week of July. She's just getting a little six month check up, and some fret work. I think I will let him fit the bridge and install a bone nut for me at the same time.
