    I do not think that is an A4. No headstock logo or fleur-de-lis; wrong rosette; no Handels. A 1915 A4 should have the fretboard extension. Blackface A4s were commonplace before 1914; they're comparatively rare afterward.

    Definitely not an A4, but it looks like it does have one of those pickholders on the back of the headstock.

    No logo, no back binding would make me think it's just a "plain A" --$1500 would be high for that mandolin but it looks like it's in good condition.
