Nice mandolin, however you have to many digits in the sn#(should be 5 digits) if it starts 87xxx then its a 1928-1929. If it starts with 86xxx its 1927-28. I find the late 1920's A models are great sounding mandolins.

Thanks for the help. I heard back from the owner and the actual serial number is 84119, which would put it around 1926.
