    Question Unknown with Kentucky tailpiece

Hello all. To quench a little bit of MAS, I picked this up off eBay on the cheap.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/330727979313...84.m1439.l2649

I JUST won it so once I see it in person I'll know more, but anyone know more than the seller? I just got a Loar LM500, so I'm well aware this mando is gonna be a beater or project at best, a wall-hanger at worst. Wouldn't mind learning some set-up & maintenance etc. on something other than my main instrument anyway.

Somebody dressed up a fairly common import. There a quite a few of these spread out over some of the threads here.

It's pretty beat, and I wasn't under the impression it was a Kentucky. Probably a replacement tailpiece....or maybe even a replaced neck, as it looks like it's been hurt pretty bad in the past. Definitely thinking wall-hanger or something to tinker with. Sub-$100 at least.

At least seller was honest. From one wall to another.......... it's a wall hanger at best. Not even worth stripping it for the parts.
Looks homemade on a kitchen table to me. You might consider posting it under "the worst scolls" ever made thread. If Monroe were alive today and you showed him this mandolin he would tell you "that ain't no part of nothin' " .
