Robbier Robertson sent love and prayers to Levon in his speech Saturday at the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame leading many to speculate. If you go to Levon's Website he's cancelled a lot of shows. Hope he's alright.

Haven't heard any recent news but Levon has sure had his health battles the past # of years. Here's hoping he is ok.

The N.O. newspaper said the cancellation there was based on a slipped disc making playing & travelling difficult. I hope he's ok as well, the Ramble was recently in Ann Arbor & it was one of the best shows I've seen in years.
Not looking good...

This makes me so sad. He's been even more of an inspiration to me the last few years than during the Band's heyday. *sigh*

My buddy and I were cracking ourselves up the other day about that early section in "This Wheels On Fire" where Levon is describing in his youth watching "big & dangerous" harp-player Sonny Boy Williamson and how he would bellow at his band:
"PLAY IT IN C, ******-******!!"
But Amsterdam was always good for grieving
And London never fails to leave me blue
And Paris never was my kinda town
So I walked around with the Ft. Worth Blues
Sorry to report this, from Levon's FaceBook page:
Dear Friends,
Levon is in the final stages of his battle with cancer. Please send your prayers and love to him as he makes his way through this part of his journey. ...
Thank you fans and music lovers who have made his life so filled with joy and celebration... he has loved nothing more than to play, to fill the room up with music, lay down the back beat, and make the people dance! He did it every time he took the stage...
We appreciate all the love and support and concern.
From his daughter Amy, and wife Sandy

A great musician and beautiful spirit.
I'm way to young to have seen him `back in the day', but the echoes of that music still resound.

Yeah, I just updated my previous post. We were going to go to his show tomorrow night, rescheduled from the beginning of March.
