Hi All
It would be great to meet up with some local learner/player/enthusiasts? Anyone in South Devon, UK?
Cheers

Try the ‘Truro Folk Session’ they have a Facebook page.
In Cornwall but do they appear to be a friendly bunch and to know a lot of people.
Good Luck!

Thanks
I was starting to feel lonely.!
There are stacks of players in Devon.
As a first stop maybe get in touch with Wren music https://www.wrenmusic.co.uk/ who run the Mandolin Orchestra of Devon & several folk orchestras.
There's quite a network of folk culture & sessions around that. David Faulkner has started a new session which I've heard is very popular https://flaxey-green.co.uk/Pages/Mus...nted.html#pcfo
Up until last month I was playing with MOoD, but work changes mean I'm having to knock that on the head for now.
There used to be quite a lively Bluegrass & Old Time session scene around the county, but it's been years since I went to any so have lost contact with that network.
As you know getting around Devon can take ages due to the windy routes, so you might want to try looking up a local session & rocking along to that to get networking locally from there. https://flaxey-green.co.uk/Pages/Sessions.html though you'll soon see the same faces popping up in different places.
What music styles are you interested in?
