    Default Mandolin recommendation

I have been trying to find a Gibson jam master, partially because it would be a Gibson, but also because the neck is supposed to be wider and the reviews are very good on these models. However, production is shut down and I'm getting mixed messages from Gibson and their dealers as to when they will be available again. Looking for comparable suggestions on F-style mandolins in the jam master price range ($2800 or so) that would also have the wider neck (1 3/16 vs 1 1/16). Thanks.

Might want to check out Weber. This one says its a wide nut but has it listed as a regular nut width.

The Weber Special Edition line carried by The Mandolin Store is very similar to the Jam Master in many ways. They have a wide nut version. They have an excellent reputation, as does TMS. NFI.
