It sounds like a fair - at least not unreasonable - price. If it plays well, is in good condition, and you like it, then go ahead and get it. It probably won't be your last mandolin anyway. Depending on where you live, a mandolin that hangs on the wall for three years may not be unusual. In my neck of the woods there aren't many mandoin players and the instruments don't move quickly. It doesn't mean they're bad, but just not popular.
