Default John Mayer's Berklee Clinic (October 2008)

I just finished watching this 9 part YouTube video series of John Mayer's Student-Only Clinic at the Berklee College of Music, and all I can say is "Wow"!

Together, this group of videos comprises one of the best musical training tools I've come across. It covers everything from setting your musical expectations, to turning information into inspiration, to songwriting, to soloing (part 5: Working Up to the Dynamic Ceiling of Your Solo...Great!).

This is Wonderful stuff, and applicable regardless of one's instrument, or level of experience, or expertise.

Below is the first in the series. You'll find the others in the right margin marked as: John Mayer - Berklee Clinic part X [HD]

(viewer advisory: there are one or two explitives spoken over the course of the clinic)

    c.1965 Harmony Monterey H410 Mandolin
"What a long, strange trip it's been..." - Robert Hunter
"Life is too important to be taken seriously." - Oscar Wilde

Wow. I think this really defines the generation of people I'm interviewing now.
    We few, we happy few.
