Slightly related to PB covers, looks like the boys are going to open for Wilco at Red Rocks in June. That would be my dream concert for sure.

Love the ending. How do you pick a banjo that fast?

For some reason I can't open that video (PC with Firefox). It comes up black.

Me too, but I think it was my ad blocker plugin. Watched with Safari fine.

Yep, it's probably an ad-blocker issue. I had the opposite circumstance from Larry: couldn't watch it in Safari because of an ad-blocker, so I watched it in Firefox.

If you look at his left hand, you'll see that he's fretting both the B and D strings (or G and B) so that they are unisoned — that's the secret to the technique; it keeps it from sounding choked by always having one of the strings ringing out while the other is being struck by a pick. He's picking the B string with his thumb and index finger, and the D with his middle; it's just a fast strait roll from there. It's definitely a cool technique, and one that Noam has been using increasingly.

p.s. In that end section he prebends to the note and then un-bends and re-bends quickly for that wobble effect.
    p.p.s. This cover is Fabulous.

As a rock fan and relatively new mando player, that was AWESOME. Would've liked to see a bigger mandolin part but I think they all fit right into making that an awesome version. Wow.

This was just what I needed. Very cool version of probably my favorite Cars song (OK, one of the few I can stand ... whatever.). I also wish there were a higher mandolin presence, but then I realized that the banjo was playing the mandolin part, or playing mandolin-style. But just once, if that riff had been played by mandolin, banjo, and fiddle in unison - wow!
