Hi i am looking at buying a new mandolin and am interested in any comments on a mandolin advertised as a Weber Special Edition F style. All comments would be appreciated from owners or players as i will be buying it from the U.S. sight unseen.

Weber mandolins are exceptional! When you pick up a Weber you expect a certain quality of tone and there is no doubt that they are beautiful.

I second this comment, it's right on the money. Webers have a richness of tone I find very appealing. The quality of the build and the finish is super, and their customer service is second to none (legendary, in fact). I proud to be a real Weber fan because I think they have earned it.

There are without question certain brands that maintain a reputation for top quality and consistent satisfaction. Weber tops that list with remarkable frequency. I have played a couple myself - although never owning one - but I cannot recall a single complaint posted here.

You can't go wrong with a Weber. As stated, they are awesome sounding, extremely well made and beautiful. Dealing with the Webers and everyone at Sound to Earth is hassle free and they will wow you with customer service and attention.

I own a Weber Custom Yellowstone. This is my 4th Mandolin (maybe my last) in search of the perfect one. I've owned it now for 3 year and have been very happy with the sound, fit, finish, and playbility.

I switched to stainless steel frets about 1 year ago because the original ones seemed to wear out, but, I think that was more me than the mandolin. Have fun in your search

I agree with all the comments about Webers being renowned for their tone and overall quality.
I'll add that, in my opinion, the general playability profile of a Weber mandolin is fantastic! The 1 1/8" nut width, the large (.80 X.40) frets, the low-profile neck, and the 10" fretboard radius all combine for awesome playability. A Weber with a good set-up and low action almost plays itself!

Hi, my NEW Weber Special Edition has arrived, out of Customs and i have picked her up. That was last week.
Opened the package (lots of bubblewrap, thank you The Mandolin Store) and checked she was all OK. Handed her back to my wife because in our home you get presents untill that day arrives. Well that day is Thursday this week and i cannot wait to wrap my arms around that beautifull little girl, she looks fantastic and i am sure will sound great. As someone said "a Weber almost plays itself", that i want to see!
    Cheers
